A: Our faculty is well qualified to engage the child creatively throughout the session. The teacher has the time to gauge a child’s strength and weakness and work on the same. Keeping classes engaging and educative is our core philosophy. 

2. What if my child misses a class?

A: Every lesson video will be uploaded for reference which will help the child understand any topic missed. 

3. What is the course fee?

A: Our support team will reach out to you regarding this. 

4. Can I select the day of my choice?

A: You have the choice to select any day and time according to your convenience. 

5. How can I communicate with the teacher?

A: After the child is enrolled with Sapthora, the parents and students will have an ORIENTATION class where you will learn to interact with the teacher through our portal. Our faculty is available 24*7 to handle all queries.

6. What are the materials the child will need for a particular course?

A: After enrolling the child, the parent will get access to our courses and materials required for each level.   Additionally, the teacher will update the students regularly of what materials will be required for the next class.

7. If my child needs extra help, how will the teacher be available?

A: Our main strength is our focus on quality education. By keeping the class strength to a maximum of 5 students per batch, we ensure the child gets individual attention and focus. Our experienced teachers are trained to handle students at every level.

8. Can a student be accelerated if they are quick learners?

A: Yes, in certain special cases, if the teacher identifies a fast learner who can understand the complexity and challenges at a particular level, the teacher can use their discretion to advance the student to a higher level.  

9. Should a student have the technical knowledge to take an online course?

A: It is not compulsory for a student to be tech-savvy, especially our younger students. Our website interface is very easy to use, and our teachers will guide the students at all levels.

10. What tools are required before starting the online course?

A: It is important to have a good webcam, headphones, and the zoom app downloaded. Keeping the materials required for the class is important.

11. What are the benefits of art classes for kids?

A: Art helps improve concentration, develop fine and gross motor skills, hand– eye coordination, and children learn to express their emotions in a healthy, positive way.

12. Are the teachers qualified to teach art?

A: All our teachers are very well qualified and experienced to handle the subject and the students. Regular in-house orientation is also a part of the teacher training.

13. Does the parent need to sit with the students always during the classes?

A: If a student is too young and might need parental assistance, we recommend a parent sits with the child, without interfering with the class session.

14. The student is too young to understand this virtual system. How will the kid manage?

A: Our teachers are very experienced to teach students in a virtual system. Having a dual camera setup will help the child understand the class better. During the orientation, the parent will be guided on how to set up the camera.

15. What is the course duration for Novice level?

A: Novice has 28 sessions.

16. What is the course duration for the other levels?

A: All other levels, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced have 48 sessions to complete the level module.

17. What is the minimum entry age for Novice?

A: The child must be at least 5 years old.

18. What type of art or painting will you teach in the Beginner level

A: We focus on the foundation building drawing concepts like- lines, understanding symmetry, near & far, big & small etc. Creative & fun topic like drawing with numbers, shadow drawing is also a part of the curriculum.

19. Does a child need parents’ assistance during class?

A: Not always. We prefer the child learns from their own mistakes, but as parents you can always watch your child’s progress during the class, and help them to manage things around if needed, but avoid sitting with them when the class is on.

20. As a beginner, my child may face difficulties to understand a concept in one class. Will you provide special attention or extra class for that?

A: Our curriculum has been designed in such a way that all core concepts have 3 sessions. Additionally, special attention is always provided to learners who may take some time to understand.

21. What are the new art techniques or concepts you will teach in the Intermediate level?

A: In this level, we focus on developing the students core concepts, observation, and creative drawing skills. Few core topics include elements of art, still life drawing, light & shadow, etc.

22. As you mentioned Still life drawing, what is covered under that?

A: Still life drawing involves drawing of non-living things found around us, nature drawing like fruits, flower, vegetable etc and the focus is on how to use colours for shading the same.

23. How many colour mediums will the students learn at Intermediate level?

A: Students will learn mediums like colour pencils application, basic pencil shading, oil pastels, sketch pens/ colour marker and poster colour.

24. What will be taught in optical illusion?

A: Students will learn different ways to create 3D drawing effects on paper while learning the illusive characteristics of line, shadow and angle of vision.

25. Does a student need to acquire specific art skills to get enrolled in the Advanced level?

A: Yes, the student should be good at drawing and must have a good understanding of proportion and drawing from observation. They should have completed the Intermediate level.

A: Aerial animal study involves drawing basic & complex bird species by understanding their anatomical measurements and proportions.

27. My child likes to draw a street scene or a landscape. Under which topic will they learn to draw this?

A: Perspective drawing and colour theory.

28. Which type of portrait drawing will you teach?

A: We have involved ‘Head Study’ in our curriculum where the student will learn to draw the face in different angles to develop knowledge and skills for portrait drawing.

29. Will my child become competent enough to give entrance exams for Art & Design schools?

A: After completing the Expert level, student will be competent to appear for the entrance exams in a fine art school.

A: Knowledge of art is infinite. Our students will learn all fundamentals of art and important drawing concepts & painting mediums.

31. Will the student be able to do live sketch or portrait?

A: Yes, they can. The more they practice, the more they will learn.

32. What painting mediums will the student learn in the Expert level?

A: Students will learn techniques using water colour, inks, charcoal, oil, and acrylics.

33. My child is 12 years old. Will they get entry directly in the Advanced level?

A: This depends on the student’s knowledge of art concepts and vocabulary. Our philosophy is to ensure the child has a thorough understanding of all the core concepts. If the student has prior experience in art, a test will be conducted to check the same. The teacher will use their discretion to decide at which level the child will enrol.

34. What is impression art?

A: Impression art means depicting a scene in bold brush strokes with the desired colour tone for light and shade without blending. Student will learn a variety of brush strokes and develop the knowledge of different colour tones.

35. Do we need to have a specific camera and sitting arrangement for the classes?

A: Students should always keep their desk ready with the required materials before the class. It is preferable to use 2 camera set-ups, one for student view and second one will focus on the art work, so that student can share art work on screen.
